Backcountry Outfitters is small family run guide service that takes pride in providing a personalble and quality experience for all. We specialize in fishing, hunting and sightseeing activities. Come join us on our comfortable and spacious pontoon boat for a day of relaxation, fishing and sightseeing on beautiful Moosehead Lake (Maine's largest lake). Salmon, lake trout and Moosehead's renowned native brook trout are some of the species we will be fishing for. The hunting season starts in the fall for bear, moose and deer. Our guide has over 30 years of experience in the Maine woods and is a member of the Professional Maine Guides Association.
