Arboretum at Fort Williams Park

Native plant landscapes, children's garden

The Arboretum at Fort Williams Park is a project of the Fort Williams Charitable Foundation. The first site, Cliffside, is located to the left of the park access road between the beach and Portland Headlight. The popular Cliff Walk runs along the water's edge. Improvements in this area are underway.

Eventually, organizers hope the Arboretum will consisting of 15 distinct landscapes throughout the park. Invasive plants choking the native species and obscuring the awe-inspiring views will be removed and replaced with native and sustainable plants.
