Agassiz Village Summer Camp
Agassiz Village is a nonprofit summer camp on Lake Thompson in Poland, ME. Our facilities also offer cabin rentals, water view wedding locations and family vacation rentals.
Our residential summer camp program is set on our beautiful 330 acres of fields, hills, streams and woodland with a mile long waterfront on beautiful Thompson Lake in Poland, ME. Your child can attend up to 2 of the 3 two-week sessions we offer throughout the summer. Kids aged 8-17 participate in activities including archery, high & low ropes, swimming, canoeing, boating, arts & crafts, dance, sports and drama.
In addition, we rent our beautiful cabins on select weeks and weekends from May - November for families, couples and individuals to enjoy our property and nearby activities.
Agassiz Village is also the quintessential setting for your wedding celebration. Our 40 building facility is nestled in 330 acres of sprawling fields. The venue offers the ideal combination of nature and rustic charm, and its picturesque Lake Thompson shoreline provides the perfect backdrop for exquisite wedding photos. Hold your ceremony in our open air amphitheater, underneath our storybook gazebo, or on one of two islands. Up to 250 guests will enjoy dining in the largest free standing log cabin in New England. Guests can also stay overnight in our cozy summer cabins, and enjoy smores by the fire, kayaking, canoeing, and so much more!Our unique space is available in May, June, late August, September and October.
