Eastport Arts Center is a nonprofit community arts organization and performance venue supporting groups engaged in theater, visual and literary arts, music, film, education and community outreach. Located in a 19th-century church in downtown Eastport, the center serves as a regional venue for special events and visiting artists and performers.
The 17,000-square-foot building includes a 106-seat theater and concert hall, gallery and community spaces, teaching areas and workspaces. Throughout the year, Eastport Arts Center hosts rehearsals, performances, workshops, classes, exhibitions, film screenings and open mic events, reflecting a wide range of creative activity and community participation.
Eastport Arts Center is home to a growing group of constituent organizations, including music ensembles, theater groups, film and arts organizations and a community choir. The facility is available for half- or full-day rentals and has hosted concerts, meetings, weddings, fundraisers and other private and community events.
