Barncastle Hotel + Restaurant

Built in the 1880s, Barncastle was the first of Blue Hill’s grand summer cottages. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it now operates as a hotel and restaurant, continuing to welcome summer visitors to Blue Hill more than 120 years later.

Guestrooms at Barncastle are spacious and thoughtfully appointed, offering comfort within a historic setting.

The on-site restaurant features a wood-fired pizza oven and a menu centered on locally grown and organically raised ingredients. Vegetarian and vegan offerings are well represented, including salads, sandwiches and pizzas. Guests can enjoy regional wines and local microbrews by the fireside in the intimate pub. The atmosphere is lively, and dress is casual.
