The workshop and gallery of artist Siri Beckman is a close look at traditional relief printmaking alongside finished works. Visitors can view limited-edition, hand-pulled prints as well as original watercolors and oils, each shaped by a meticulous, time-intensive process. Beckman works primarily in wood engraving and woodcut, carving images into carefully selected wood blocks using specialized tools before proofing, refining and printing each edition by hand. A single small block can take dozens of hours to complete, from the first cuts to the final signed print. The gallery reflects both the craft and patience behind the work, offering insight into an art form rooted in precision and tradition.
