Schooner Olad and Cutter Owl offer public sailing and private charters from Camden Harbor, exploring the varied shoreline and working waters of Penobscot Bay from May through October.
The Schooner Olad, a restored 1927 yacht, sails on two-hour public trips and private charters for up to 22 passengers. Day sails pass rocky headlands, islands, lighthouses and lobster boats, with occasional sightings of bald eagles and seals. The schooner also hosts special event sails throughout the season, including races, lobster bakes and lighthouse-focused trips.
For a more intimate experience, the Cutter Owl carries up to six guests aboard a 1941 John Alden–designed sailboat. Owl offers two- and three-hour public sails and flexible private charters, with options that may include island stops and overnight trips with advance planning. Local captain Aaron Lincoln shares regional maritime history while underway.
