Hermit Island Campground

Hermit Island Campground is a rustic, family-friendly camping destination located on a private island off the coast of Phippsburg. Established in 1952, the campground has remained largely unchanged, offering a slow-paced experience closely connected to the natural environment. The southern end of the island includes more than 270 individual sites for tents, pop-up trailers and truck campers, each with a fire pit, picnic table and parking space. Campers have access to hot showers, a range of bathroom facilities and beaches throughout the property. Seasonal amenities include a camp store, snack bar, gift shop and boat launch areas for small boats. Hermit Island is open seasonally and reserved exclusively for registered campers.
