The Center for Furniture Craftsmanship is a nonprofit, international school devoted to the art and practice of fine woodworking. Visitors encounter a creative campus where furniture making, woodturning, carving, marquetry and finishing are taught at the highest level of craftsmanship. The Center offers workshops, intensive courses, long-term programs and fellowships serving both amateur and professional-track woodworkers. The Messler Gallery adds a public-facing experience, showcasing contemporary work by faculty, students and visiting artists. Classes are intentionally small, creating a supportive learning environment with access to well-equipped studios, a specialized library and individualized instruction. Whether touring the gallery or participating in a class, visitors gain insight into the skill, design and tradition behind expressive work in wood.
