Skijor Skowhegan: Northeast Equestrian Skijoring Regionals is Maine's first and one of two equestrian skijoring competitions in New England. In this team time-trial race, a horse and rider pull a snowboarder or alpine skier down a 1,000-foot track.

Skijor Skowhegan: Northeast Equestrian Skijoring Regionals is Maine's first and one of two equestrain skijoring competitions in New England. In this team time-trial race, a horse and rider pull a snowboarder or alpine skier down a 1,000-foot track of gates and jumps. Competitors compete for cash prizes, swag, and bragging rights!

Spectator Information Gates: 10 a.m. Opening ceremony: 10:45 a.m. First race: 11 a.m.

The Grandstands where spectators can sit are aluminum, we recommend you bring something to sit on to be more comfortable. This is Maine in the dead of winter, so dress warmly! We've had events with beautiful 50-degree days, and we've had freezing temps and snow. Plus, it can all change from morning to afternoon.

Other information: $20 for parking Dogs must be on a leash at all times--no exceptions Please do not enter the competitor parking area unless you are with a competitor--this is for everyone's safety Drones are strictly prohibited

The beer garden, presented by Baxter Brewing Co., is open from 11 a.m.-to the conclusion of the final award ceremony

There will be Skijor Skowhegan and Somerset SnowFest merch available for purchase

There will be a small concessions booth under the Grandstand offering soups, chili, hotdogs, and pizza.

The Maine Grain Alliance will feature hot "Crop Rotation" black bean/grain/pork burritos as well as the vegetarian version without the pork. Hot drinks will also be available!
