Nordic Trail Festival

7/29/22 - 7/30/22

Tackle the trails for a day of hiking, running or biking, or relaxing!

Our annual festival returns this summer with even more action!

July 29 – 30th, the Nordic Heritage Sport Club will proudly host the Nordic Trail Festival, a celebration of community, trails and lifestyle.

6-Hour Mountain Bike

  • The 6-Hour Bike Race is designed to see which team (or individual) can complete the most laps on an 8+mile course in the time allotted. Enter as a team and compete relay style, or solo and take on all six hours by yourself.
  • Categories & Registration.

6-Hour Hike/Trail Run

  • The 6-Hour Relay is designed to see which team (or individual) can complete the most laps on a 5+ km course combining singletrack and open trail in the time allotted. Enter as a team and compete relay style, or try it solo.
  • Categories & Registration.

Downhill

  • The downhill race is at Quoggy Jo Ski Area on Friday night. Riders will try their hand at two different courses winding down the slopes of the ski area. The courses will open for practice runs an hour before the start of the race. Each racer will have only one timed run on each course, and the rider with the lowest combined time of the two courses will win. The courses are a mix of wooded single track and open flowy lines with rollers, berms and man-made jumps. The finish is near the lodge for maximum spectator enjoyment. There is excellent viewing on all parts of the course with easy access for spectators. Volunteers will be on hand prior to the start of the race to help guide riders and spectators up on to the course.
  • Categories & Registration.

Youth Races

  • We, here at the Nordic Heritage Sport Club, think everyone should get a chance to enjoy the festival race scene, especially kids! All young riders and runners should plan on joining in the excitement on Saturday starting at 10:00 AM. The youngest participants will race right in the stadium, while the older kids will be sent out on an exciting course incorporating either the paved loop around the facility or fun singletrack, a terrain park and more!
  • YOUTH Mountain Bikers 7 & Under – Race 1 loop around the Stadium 8 to 10 – Two laps around the paved loop, 2km 11 to 14 – Two laps around the Moose Trail, 3km
  • YOUTH Hike/Runners 7 & Under – Race 1 loop around the Stadium 8 to 10 – One laps around the paved loop, 2km 11 to 14 – One laps around the Moose Trail, 3km
