Ice Cream Express
An Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Social on the Narrow Gauge!
Board your train at Sheepscot station (97 Cross Road, Alna) for a 15 minute steam-powered ride through the wild pine forests, farmlands and hamlets of the Sheepscot Valley to Alna Center for a yummy treat!
We’ve partnered with Deb’s Ice Cream to serve their homemade hard serve Ice cream at the gorgeous field at Alna Center.
Afterwards, we’ll all return back to Sheepscot station where you’ll want to explore our railyard, examine our displays, and peruse our gift shop.
Ticket price includes the steam train ride, ice cream, as well as parking at Sheepscot. Note: the Ice Cream Express does not include a train ride on the “Mountain Extension” to Trout Brook. Please refer to the Sheepscot Valley Steam Train for trips that extend to that destination.
Note that passengers in wheelchairs can not be accommodated on this train. Small, well-behaved dogs are allowed at the discretion of the Conductor.
We look forward to seeing you on the narrow gauge!
Caboose Adventure Rent the WW&F caboose on your Ice Cream Express for the exclusive use of your whole family (or small group) of up to 15 people. Cost is $195, including ice cream for everyone in your group! (And yes, you may ride up in the cupola, if you so wish.)
