Join Presque Isle Historical Society for a free guided walking tour of historic downtown Presque Isle. The 2-hour, 2 mile tour covers about six square blocks and includes interesting sites and characters from Presque Isle’s past. Learn about the settlement’s original name and founder, Presque Isle’s pirate, the Little Iron Horse for which our theater is named, how the railroads played a part in our growth, early social life centered around the many opera houses, a couple of hidden time capsules, and much more. Tour leaves from in front of the 1875 Vera Estey House Museum, 16 Third Street promptly at 10:00 a.m., weather permitting.
