Saturday, September 13th:
The Celebrate Bowdoinham Parade's theme is "Farming in Bowdoinham"! We will kick off the festivities at 10:00AM and follow the traditional route: Rec Field on Ridger Rd; right on Cemetery; right on Center St; left on Post Rd; left to Main St; down Main St to River Rd; then River Rd to Ridge Rd back to Rec Field. A grand prize of $250 will be awarded to the best decorated float!

Down at the waterfront the festivities will begin with music at the gazebo, refreshments, vendors, and a silent auction at the Merrymeeting Arts Center gallery from 10-4pm. To help mingle and move you through all the event has to offer, the "Community Built Passport" will be returning at the Information Tent. Collect stamps by visiting all the community organizations and enter a chance to win a year's supply of trash tickets!

Activities for all ages include the Merrymeeting Arts Center Zucchini Races at the Matthew Townsend Parker Memorial Skatepark in the morning, followed by facepainting, and lobster crate races in the afternoon, and plenty of other games and amusements for all ages. Live music, a juggling show, and the Chewonki Bug Mobile will be taking place at the gazebo all day long too.

Be sure to visit the BIG DUCK at the Town Tent to bid on silent auction items to benefit the Old Town Hall, purchase Bowdoinham merchandise, as well as your lucky duck for the KenDUCKY Derby that afternoon. Cash prizes give to the fastest and slowest ducks! All prizes for the day including the parade float grand prize, the pie contest winner, the "Community Built Passport" drawing, and the Citizen of the Year will be announced before the rubber ducks run in the river.

As the day winds down, enjoy a little more music and a breezy picnic or food truck dinner before Celebrate Bowdoinham ends with the bang of FIREWORKS at 8:00PM!
