7th Annual Save Your Breath 5k


Join us on Sunday, November 3th for our 7th annual Save Your Breath 5K timed run on the scenic Kennebec Rail Trail!

The course is flat and fast. Great for speed. There is a hill going into the trail. Capitol Park will be reserved for those who wish to walk.

$5 for the childrens fun run for children 7 and under. All children registered in the fun run will receive a medal from the Children's Discovery Museum.

There are some new components to this race. $100 will be awarded to the overall top male/female. $25 will be awarded to the top male/female in each age group. We will also award the first person with a stroller $25. All winners will receive Free ME from Lung Cancer's medal. There is also free childcare available for registered participants during the race.

This event is a fundraiser to help support Free ME from Lung Cancer's mission: research, to help uninsured high risk patients get early detection low dose CT scans and help single family low income homeowners get access to radon air abatement systems. Please consider making an extra donation when you register or set up a fundraising page so that your family, friends and coworkers can support your run. Those raising $100.00 or more will get a free registration. Your support helping to get donors and sponsors for our race is greatly appreciated. On-line donations are processed at 6%. This is one of two events that support our foundation's programs. This race is sanctioned by the USATF.
