For all ages: Friends' Gardening Book Sale | Sleepy Seed Storytime | Expert Gardening Advice | Seed Swap & Library

Let's get ready for spring together! This is for gardeners and plant lovers of all ages.
Between 10 AM - 1 PM, you have the chance to get expert advice from master gardeners, Native Gardens of Blue Hill, and the Ellsworth Garden Club.

Also, if you are looking for gardening books to add to your collection, the Friends' book sale runs from 10 AM - 1 PM!

Btw, it's called Seed Swap because we run a seed library. ;)
That's right! Bring your seeds to share with others or swap them for something new and unexpected for your own garden!
Families can enjoy our Sleepy Seeds Storytime at 10 AM and a wildflower seed craft.

Please ensure that seeds are no more than two years old (or note germination rate) and are clearly marked with the variety name on them.

Event Highlights:

  • 10 AM - 1 PM: Gardening Advice (Main Floor - Riverside): Expert Advice from Master Gardeners, Native Gardens of Blue Hill, and the Ellsworth Garden Club
  • 10 AM - 11 AM: Sleepy Seeds Storytime (Maker Space): Join us for a special storytime with Miss Jean where we talk about the magic of seeds and dream of gardens blooming in the summer sun. Also: Don't miss our flower seed paper craft!
  • 10 AM - 1 PM: The Friends' Gardening Book Sale (Main Floor - Garden View): All items are for sale by donation unless otherwise noted (cash or check only). Besides gardening books, you'll find titles about sports, fiber crafts, spring themed puzzles and some children's books.

By donation, cash or check please.
Proceeds support library programs and services. Don't miss this opportunity to find great reads and support your community library! To find out more about the Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library, visit their website: https://ellsworthme.org/friends/
