For all ages: Friends' Gardening Book Sale | Sleepy Seed Storytime | Expert Gardening Advice | Seed Swap & Library
Let's get ready for spring together! This is for gardeners and plant lovers of all ages.
Between 10 AM - 1 PM, you have the chance to get expert advice from master gardeners, Native Gardens of Blue Hill, and the Ellsworth Garden Club.
Also, if you are looking for gardening books to add to your collection, the Friends' book sale runs from 10 AM - 1 PM!
Btw, it's called Seed Swap because we run a seed library. ;)
That's right! Bring your seeds to share with others or swap them for something new and unexpected for your own garden!
Families can enjoy our Sleepy Seeds Storytime at 10 AM and a wildflower seed craft.
Please ensure that seeds are no more than two years old (or note germination rate) and are clearly marked with the variety name on them.

Partners:
Thank you to Plants Unlimited, Fedco Seeds, and High Mowing Organic Seeds for generously donating seed packets for this event. Thank you to the Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library for their continued support and to the Ellsworth Garden Club, Native Gardens of Blue Hill, and UMaine's Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners! And also, a big thank you to our media partners WDEA.am and Star 97.7.
The Ellsworth Garden Club was organized 93 years ago and currently maintains 8 gardens in Ellsworth open to the public. To raise funds to support our work, the club's annual plant sale will be held this year on May 30 at Donald Little Park on State St. Sale includes perennials, native and pollinator attracting plants, and annual seedlings at very reasonable prices.
