The annual Wabanaki Winter Market organized by the Hudson Museum (Orono, Maine) is New England’s largest Holiday gathering of Wabanaki artists.
The Wabanaki Winter Market at the Collins Center for the Arts (Orono, Maine) is New England’s largest Holiday gathering of Wabanaki artists. The popular annual December event features members of the Maine Indian Basketmakers Alliance who have received national awards as well as new artists representing the next generation of weavers.
Join the Hudson Museum for a day showcasing one-of-a-kind art forms (basketry, beadwork, wood carving, birchbark items as well as maple syrup specialties) as well as demonstrations, storytelling, traditional music, drumming and dancing. Something for everyone! This event is free and open to the public.
