Seacolors–Get Wool

Seacolors—Get Wool creates one-of-a-kind yarns and sweaters rooted in Maine’s landscape and light. Using a fine blend of merino and mohair, each yarn is hand-dyed in seawater using sun-derived heat, resulting in layered colorways inspired by weather, sea and shore. The wool is soft, durable and machine washable, blooming and mellowing with age and proper care. Finished pieces include distinctive sweaters and textiles produced in limited runs, each reflecting a slow, craft-centered process. Seacolors is available directly through shows and fairs and also welcomes visits from knitting guilds and fiber groups seeking a closer look at bioregional wool and natural color-making traditions.
