Seasonal Hours
Engines rumble and propellers spin at Owls Head Transportation Museum, home to one of the world’s finest collections of pioneer-era aircraft and automobiles. The museum showcases early planes, cars, motorcycles, engines and bicycles that trace the evolution of transportation and innovation. Visitors can explore hands-on exhibits, watch skilled restoration experts at work and see historic machines brought to life during outdoor demonstrations and seasonal events. Younger visitors can experiment and learn in the Science & Industry Center, while adults linger over craftsmanship, engineering and design details. Set on the Midcoast near the water, the museum offers an engaging, all-ages experience where transportation history is meant to move, not stand still.
