Farnsworth Homestead is part of the Farnsworth Art Museum, which presents a nationally recognized collection of American art in Rockland. Visitors can explore rotating exhibitions and selections from a collection of more than 15,000 works, including one of the nation’s largest holdings of sculpture by Louise Nevelson and an extensive body of work by three generations of Wyeths—N.C., Andrew and Jamie. Conversational, docent-led gallery walk-throughs invite visitors to engage more deeply with featured artworks and themes. Group visits and guided experiences are also available, offering additional ways to connect with the collection. Together, the Farnsworth’s sites provide opportunities to experience American art through exhibitions, programs and guided exploration.
