Avena Botanicals is an herbal apothecary in Maine’s midcoast region specializing in medicinal herbal products made from certified organic and responsibly wild-crafted plants. The apothecary produces a wide range of remedies, including herbal tinctures, infused oils, creams, salves, teas and body care products.

Many of the herbs used are grown and hand-harvested from Avena Botanicals’ certified organic gardens, cultivated using biodynamic and permaculture practices. Founded by herbalist and author Deb Soule, the business is rooted in traditional plant medicine and small-batch production.
