General

Seasonal Hours

Perched above the rocky shoreline at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park, the Fishermen’s Museum in Bristol pairs working-waterfront history with sweeping ocean views. Inside a series of small gallery spaces, exhibits explore the tools, skills and daily realities of Maine’s fishing traditions. The Navigation Room looks at charts and instruments once relied on at sea, while the Fish House and Net rooms focus on harvesting methods and gear. Additional spaces, including the Gallery Room, Oil House Building and Sound Signal Building, add context through artifacts and hands-on displays.

Outside, visitors linger for the scenery as much as the stories. Tidal movement, surf and open horizons create a dramatic setting that makes the museum feel inseparable from the coast it interprets.
