West Quoddy Head Light

The West Quoddy Head Light station was established in 1808 and became the easternmost lighthouse in the United States. The station was rebuilt in 1831 and again in 1858. Its tower sports distinctive red and white horizontal stripes. The tower is closed to the public. But you can explore the lighthouse grounds and enjoy the Visitor Center Museum, located inside the 1858 Light Keepers’ house adjacent to the lighthouse.
