Summer Food Festivals in Maine

With warm weather comes a bounty of foods from Maine’s land and sea, making it the perfect time to celebrate all that is delicious and in-season. Along with ongoing foodie activities such as farm dinners, seasonal ice cream shops and feasts aboard authentic windjammers, this is also the season for food festivals all across the state. JUNE

Maine Whoopie Pie Festival

A delightful dessert made of creamy filling between two soft cookies, whoopie pies are the main focus at this event, but there’s also a morning “Earn Your Whoopie Pie 3K Race/Walk,” live music, rides, games and, of course, a whoopie pie eating contest.

The Maine Oyster Festival
