Amusement & Water Parks

If the voices in the backseat are crying ‘Mom, I’m bored!’ it might be time to swing into one of Maine’s amusement parks.

Palace Playland:

New England’s largest beachfront amusement park is Palace Playland in Old Orchard Beach. The park has roller coasters, midway-style rides, kids’ rides, water slides, carnival games and Maine’s largest arcade. With new rides added regularly, like the HyperJump you’ll want to keep coming back!

Funtown/Splashtown USA:

Saco hosts Maine’s biggest combination amusement/water park: Funtown Splashtown USA. The twin park has Excalibur, Maine’s only wooden roller coaster (and the tallest in New England!) and Thunder Falls, New England’s tallest log-flume ride. The water park has many rides for all thrill-levels and offers a great way to stay cool.

Aquaboggan Water Park:

Just down the road from Funtown Splashtown USA is Aquaboggan Water Park for those who want water fun all day. Try its 750,000-gallon wave pool; mild and wild water slides, tubing slides, bumper boats, go-karts and mini golf.

Seacoast Adventure:

Seacoast Adventure in Windham has a 100-foot-long Sky Swing, a ropes course, summer hill tubing, go carts and a mini-golf course. Kids also love the water playground, Shipwreck Cove. In the winter, Seacoast Adventure offers snow tubing!

Wild Acadia Funzone:

The Funzone at the Wild Acadia Camping Resort in Trenton, near Bar Harbor, offers an aerial adventure park, water slide, climbing wall, trampoline and an 18-hole mini-golf course. Day passes are available to those not camping.
