You can swim and relax at this family-owned beach that has been a fixture on the northern shore of Sabbathday Lake since 1930. The Royal River starts here—just a few feet wide—and flows through the countryside before emptying into the ocean at Yarmouth. You and your family can have fun on two floating docks, a floating diving board, and a slide that sits offshore. The beach also has a snack bar, picnic area, bathhouses and restrooms. It has no lifeguard. You can rent canoes, paddleboats, kayaks and tubes. You can also launch small motor boats, canoes and kayaks at the boat launch. Pets and smoking are not allowed. The beach is open from Memorial Day through mid-September.
