Cycling Events
From weekly rides organized by local cycling clubs, to rallies, races and benefit rides that attract thousands, you can find a cycling event to match your interests and abilities throughout the spring, summer and fall in Maine.
Here are just a few of many events to watch for:
- Father’s Day weekend marks the date of the three-day, 180-mile Trek Across Maine, from Newry to Belfast, organized to benefit the American Lung Association. A 2-day option is available with lower miles and fundraising.
- The Bicycle Coalition of Maine organizes many rides and events throughout the season, including the annual Maine Women’s Ride in June, the Maine Lobster Ride in July, and the Bike Maine event in early September.
- The Yarmouth Clam Festival Men’s and Women’s Professional Bike Race is a Sunday morning event at the three-day festival held on the third weekend of July in Yarmouth.
- Hundreds escape to Maine for the Bike MS: Great Maine Getaway in August. It begins in Biddeford and takes riders down the southern Maine coast.
