Music Festivals
All Roads Music Festival in Belfast features over 40 performing artists each year, representing 150+ Maine musicians. The festival also includes discussion panels, curated showcases, and the annual Maine Songwriter’s Circle. The popular Blistered Fingers Family Bluegrass Festival in Litchfield is one of the largest family musical events in New England that takes place twice every year (June and August) with national and local bands performing. Ossipee Valley Music Festival, South Hiram is a family-friendly music festival with bluegrass, roots, americana, blues and folk music.

Maine is also renowned for its summertime chamber music and classical festivals. They include the Portland Chamber Music Festival, celebrating chamber music as it was meant to be experienced: in living rooms and parlors, surrounded by family and friends. In addition to hearing live performances with some of the finest chamber musicians in the world, audiences mingle with these artists in an informal setting, and share musical insights and personal connections. The Atlantic Music Festival at Colby College in Waterville hosts promising young musicians from all over the world and is packed with world premieres, vocal, solo, chamber music, and orchestral works, including symphonies and concertos. SummerKeys, offering summer music workshops, also has free summer concerts in Lubec.
