Located on the banks of the Kennebec River, Waterville is home to both Colby College and Thomas College. You’ll find nearly 8,000 works of primarily American and contemporary art at the Colby College Museum of Art. You can also watch a performance at the Waterville Opera House and learn more about Waterville's history at the Redington Museum. Waterville also hosts a year-round calendar of events, including the Maine International Film Festival, Waterville Intown Arts Fest, Taste of Greater Waterville, and Downtown Waterville Farmers’ Market. If you'd like to get outdoors, you can hike or cross-country ski on the Quarry Road Trails or go fishing or boating on the Kennebec River.
