Pemaquid Beach - Bristol Parks and Recreation
Pemaquid Beach is owned by the Town of Bristol in midcoast Maine. It is operated by the Bristol Parks Commission for the Town of Bristol and a "sister" park to the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park.
Pemaquid boasts clean clear water. The sand is groomed daily to ensure beach goers enjoy the cleanest beach setting possible. We offer large changing rooms and a shower room to rinse off the beach sand. Popular with the younger beach goers is the outdoor shower tower to rinse off little feet and legs. You'll find a Beach Shop stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas and toys to rent.
Guests with mobility issues can request to be taken onto the beach in our "Gator" purchased for that purpose.
Since 2003, the Parks Commission has been partnered with the Pemaquid Watershed Association to offer a unique nature center called "Beachcombers' Rest". Located inside the beach pavilion, the nature center features exhibits and displays describing the ecology of the beach.
Right next to Beachcombers' Rest, inside the pavilion, is the Community Room. This space is equipped with tables and chairs to accommodate up to 60 people. In addition, the Community Room is outfitted with a full kitchen, including an oven, stove, grill, refrigerator and sink.
