Elsa's, an award-winning luxury bed and breakfast, is in the heart of the scenic Schoodic Peninsula. Built in a working fishing harbor on the Gouldsboro peninsula, this newly renovated inn combines the charm of the mid-1800's home with the comfort of the new millennium. Each of Elsa's six well-appointed guest rooms offers a large private bath and harbor view, including historic Prospect Harbor Light. Guests can enjoy cable television, Wifi or watch the workings of the harbor from the front porch. Our professional chef serves a gourmet breakfast each morning in our sunny dining room, on our backyard patio or covered front porch.

It is two miles from the entrance to the unspoiled Schoodic section of Acadia National Park as well as convenient to the fishing villages of Winter Harbor and Corea. Elsa's is a perfect place to stay if your plans include kayaking, hiking, birding, biking, beach combing, antiquing, and visiting art galleries and unique gift shops in the area. Organized boating trips leave from nearby including the ferry to Bar Harbor, whale watching, lobstering, nature and birding, and a cruise on a historic schooner. In the winter try snow shoeing and cross country skiing the new trails in Acadia! Easy day trips include Blue Hill, Deer Isle, Bar Harbor and the villages of Mount Desert Island, Belfast, Camden, Jonesport , Eastport, Lubec and Campobello.

Come spend a real Maine vacation at our comfortable inn, where you will enjoy the quiet lifestyle of this unspoiled section of Maine's beautiful rocky coast.
