Designing Women

Designing Women is an organization of 120 professional fine craftswomen and artists that produces 8 shows annually across Maine and in Portsmouth, NH. Since 1991, the mission of the Designing Women organization has been to showcase the fine handwork being made by women in Maine and New Hampshire as well as help to raise funds and awareness for local non-profits that help women and their families. Examples of the fine hand-made work that can be seen and purchased: pottery, jewelry and beads, turned and carved wood, basketry, weaving-including apparel and rugs,paintings, calligraphy,paper,hand-colored photography, books,felting, hand-colored photography and much more. All created by Maine and New Hampshire craftswomen and artists.
