Where to find the best deals in Maine this fall

Fall in Maine is spectacularly colorful as the seasons change and we shift from the lazy, hazy days of summer to a season of hikes on forested trails, slow paddles on winding rivers and streams and brisk, uncrowded beach walks. This fall, Maine’s kaleidoscope of color will be the same, but it will also be different from autumns past. We will enjoy Maine safely, stay outdoors longer and take in the extraordinary beauty of the state’s beloved rocky coast, western mountains and cutting-edge food scene.

Travelers can find some of the best deals on everything from lodging to outfitters and camping to attractions. Check out our deals page page with listings from several businesses throughout Maine.

The Maine Tourism Association members provide coupons and deals to help plan your trip, and campers should be sure to check out the Maine Campground Owners’ Association Facebook page for updated deals at Maine campgrounds.

And remember, social distancing is easy here, since fall in Maine is, by definition, all about being outdoors. It’s an easy hike with kids in a state park or a challenging summit of one of Maine’s peaks. There’s road biking, off road biking on bucolic trails, and single-track to test any rider’s mettle. Maine is the place for sea kayaking, paddle boarding and sailing, not to mention fishing and canoeing.
