Skowhegan State Fair
The Skowhegan State Fair is the nation’s oldest consecutively running agricultural fair. More than a week long, the fair includes live music, carnival rides, demolition derbies, tractor pulls, livestock showings, harness racing, and more.
The Skowhegan State Fair is one of the nation’s longest-running agricultural fairs. It's been held each year since 1818, making it older than the state of Maine itself (which was part of Massachusetts until 1820). There’s a huge midway, animal exhibits, a flower show, and harness racing, as well as truck pulls and demo derbies that are of course newer additions.
