Observation hours at Schoodic Point will be from 7 to 10 AM with a bird ecologist. Visitors can expect to see migrating birds, occasional seals and porpoise. Waterbirds move past the point by the thousands - Common Eider, Double-crested Cormorant, Northern Gannet, Common Loon, scoters, and more. Birds are seen from near-shore to as much as 3 miles out to sea. Observers use binoculars and spotting scopes to identify and count all migrants. Free and open to the public. Drop in any time and bring your binoculars!
