About Ride For A Cure Aroostook
What's better than spending a day on the gorgeous ATV trails in Aroostook County? Being able to do it for an excellent cause!
Starting as a new event in 2021, the Ride For A Cure Aroostook is a primary fundraiser for Aroostook Relay360 team Click For A Cure. This team has been able to meld their passion for Relay For Life and ATVing together create a full day of fun for all who participate! As an added bonus, this event takes place during the Crown of Maine Balloon fest, so participants will be able to participate in local activities all weekend long.
Where will your registration money go? Registration fees and individual contributions made during the Ride For A Cure Aroostook will benefit Aroostook Relay360's local fundraising efforts. The funds raised through Relay For Life not only honor survivors and remember loved ones, but also provide free services that cancer patients and caregivers rely on every single day. Your contribution will help the American Cancer Society save lives faster and better fight cancer on all fronts – by investing in groundbreaking research, providing free rides to chemo and places to stay when treatment is far from home, the live 24/7 helpline, website, and so much more.
In 2018, 1,449 free nights of stay were given at the Boston Hope Lodge to people in Maine and research grants totaling $950,000 were awarded to Maine labs. In Aroostook County, over 170 residents utilized free rides, hotel stays, wigs, and other services. The impact across the state of Maine is significant - and you can be a part of it!
