Portland Chamber Music Festival: Romantic Visions: Falla, Primosch, and Dvořák

8/11/18

PCMF celebrates 25 years of bringing world-class chamber music to southern Maine, and the farewell season of Founding Artistic Director Jennifer Elowitch, with acclaimed performers from our country’s top ensembles, festivals, and conservatories.

Manuel de Falla’s sultry “Seven Popular Spanish Songs,” artfully arranged for guitar and cello, sets the stage for the Maine premiere of a brand new co-commissioned work showcasing the renowned oboist Peggy Pearson. The 25th anniversary season’s opening weekend concludes with Dvořák’s lushly romantic Piano Quintet.
