Mills, machines, and Lombards...Hot Fun in the Summer Time!
The Maine Forest and Logging Museum demonstrates and recreates the machines and skills of our State's logging past. Metal is the focus of this event: Blacksmiths--try your hand; sawmills; woodsplitters; metal casting and Lombard log haulers. There will also be demonstrations of wood working and fiber spinning. We will be serving bean hole beans, reflector oven biscuits, and strawberry shortcakes.
