Presentation of the history of the U.S. Naval Radio Station, Winter Harbor, Maine that was placed in commission February 28th 1935.

Schoodic Institute in Winter Harbor invites the public to a presentation of the history of the U.S. Naval Radio Station, Winter Harbor, Maine that was placed in commission February 28th 1935 and decommissioned in July of 2 002. The presentation will be given by Dale Woodward, a native of Gouldsboro, Maine and a 28 year employee of that station. This Naval Station is now the science and research campus of Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park. Meet at Moore Auditorium on the institute campus & bring your lunch!
