Allagash Canoe Trip, Memorial Day weekend
Our best canoe trip for spotting moose! Enjoy a leisurely pace, comfortable campsites and great meals.
The legendary Allagash is Maine’s only designated Wild and Scenic River and attracts canoeists from all across the country and beyond. Our 33 mile trip begins near Round Pond and ends in Allagash Village. If you’re hoping to encounter wildlife, the Allagash is where you want to be. It has consistently been our best Maine canoe trip for spotting wildlife, including moose and eagles. Late May to mid-June is the optimal time for Brook Trout fishing,
A guided Allagash canoe trip takes care of all the logistics including transportation into the launch location from Allagash Village. We provide meals, canoes, all necessary camping equipment, and cover day use and over night fees collected by the North Maine Woods.Campsites located on the river’s edge are rustic with picnic tables, fire pit and a well maintained outhouse. We camp in tents and cooking is done over an open fire. Well suited for family members of all ages.
