2018 Acadia Winter Festival - Connect with Nature and Celebrate Winter in Maine! February 9 @ 8:00 am through February 11 @ 5:00pm
Festival held at the Schoodic Institute in Acadia National Park on the Schoodic Peninsula in Winter Harbor. Events and activities: Outdoor Dutch Oven Cooking, Dinner Theater with a Storyteller, Winter Bird Tour, Music, Historic Films, Workshops, Traditional Baked Bean Suppa, Snowshoeing, Cross country Skiing, Winter Ecology Hike, Basics of Chainsaw Safety, Search & Rescue Dog Demo & other family activities! Meals and overnight lodging available on campus also!

9:00 AM – 12 Noon **Cooking with a Dutch Oven (includes lunch), Institute campus. $30.00 p/person
10:00 – 11:30 **Winter Ecology Hike, Meet at Schoooner Commons, Institute campus. Free
12 Noon – 1:00 Brown Bag Lunch: Two Northeast Historic Films: Ice Harvesting Sampler, The Maple Sugaring Story

1:00 – 2:00 Search and Rescue Dog Demo, Institute campus. Free
4:00 – 5:30 Meet & Greet. Welcome Schoodic Institute President and CEO, Dr. Don Kent at a public reception.
5:30 – 7:00 **Traditional New England Baked Bean Suppa. Schooner Commons, Institute campus. $10.00 p/person
7:00 – 8:00PM Lecture: Coastal Maine Birds in Winter – ‘What they are and where to find them’.
