About Plourde & Plourde
The Plourde & Plourde family has been in the snowmobile business since 1964. Bob has ridden snowmobiles since 1964 in various events from oval racing to cross-country racing. In 1971 Bob purchased from his Dad's partner, his share of the snowmobile business. In 1971 Bob started running the business selling Ski-Doo snowmobiles, Harley-Davidson® and Yamaha golf carts. In 1980 he purchased dealerships for Harley-Davidson® motorcycles and Arctic Cat.

All Renters must be 21 years of age or older unless accompanied by a legal guardian. All drivers must be 18 years of age with a valid drivers license to operate an off-road vehicle. Driving under the influence will not be tolerated. This includes alcohol and any mind-altering drugs. A full day rental is considered 8am to 5pm. All vehicles are due back by 5 pm otherwise there is a late charge of $55 per hour. No Rental Pick up available on Sundays. All machines go out with a full tank of gas and must be returned with a full tank of gas. If a machine is not full when returned, you will be charged $35 for fuel used regardless of remaining amount. Snowmobile rentals will be based on skill level. Houlton Powersports and its employee's will determine which skill level you are and match you to the appropriate snowmobile. In order to rent an off-road vehicle, a security deposit is required in addition to our rental fee. The deposit is held until the rental is returned and checked for damage. The security deposit is $1,500/UTV or $1,000/Snowmobile and must be available on your credit card or cash. If the vehicle is returned with damage the cost of the repairs will be deducted from your deposit. Parts will be billed at retail prices and labor will be billed at $69/hour with a minimum of 1 hour regardless of repair. To reserve an off-road vehicle requires a 25% deposit. The deposit will go toward your rental. The deposit is fully refundable if canceling no later than 48 hours prior to your scheduled rental. If you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled rental then you will forfeit your deposit. If you do not show for your rental you will be charged the entire amount of your rental. In the event of adverse weather or snow conditions, your deposit will be refunded. Adverse weather includes no snow, rain or whiteout conditions. Houlton Powersports and its employees reserve the right to alter or cancel a reservation or rental due to inclement weather, foreseeable hazards, insufficient booking or circumstances beyond our control. Houlton Powersports and its employees reserve the right to deny services and rentals to any persons we feel are unfit to rent or operate an off-road vehicle for any reason of our choosing. On the day of the rental, renters will be required to purchase a non-refundable $40 Damage Waiver. This damage waiver fee limits your responsibility regarding any damages done to the vehicle to $1,500/UTV or $1,000/Snowmobile. Please note that with the damage waiver purchase this limits your liability for damages done to the machine only, up to the amount of $1,500/UTV or $1,000/Snowmobile. The damage waiver fee does NOT cover damages done to other property, persons or yourself. You must have insurance to cover you. In the event of damage that renders the machine undriveable, charges may be incurred for lost rental days. Helmets and appropriate riding gear must be worn. Helmets are included with the rental at no additional charge, however, you may choose to wear your own helmet. Either way helmets must be worn at all times. You must provide your own jacket, bibs/pants, boots, and gloves. These items, if needed, are available for purchase from us.
