Allagash Photography Workshop

Location: Canoe the Wild

This is a wilderness canoe trip designed to be fun and entertaining, as well as a great opportunity to enhance your skills in adventure and wildlife photography. We’ll paddle some of the most interesting and exciting sections of the Allagash, from just below Chase Stream Rapids to Michaud Farm, seeing many sights along the way. It’s well-known that the Allagash is one of the moose-iest places in Maine, and while not guaranteed, we are very likely to encounter moose and other wildlife. Eagles, loons, ducks, great blue herons, beaver and river otters are frequently sighted. Perhaps one of the most exciting photo opportunities on this trip is night photography. Seeing and photographing the night sky in one of the darkest places in the United States is not to be missed! If you’ve never photographed the night sky before, don’t worry. We are here to help! One of the best parts of the experience is our time in camp, enjoying great food and conversation around the campfire.
