Trip Ideas: Maine Lobster

Located on Casco Bay, Portland is the gateway to the region’s many islands and surrounding coastal communities. Portland is Maine’s largest city and is known for the Old Port’s lively shopping district, the diverse arts & entertainment options and its award winning cuisine. With dozens of excellent restaurants to choose from and lobster shacks near every beach, you’re sure to get your fill of lobster here.

They start serving hearty fare at 4:00 a.m., try the Lobster and Swiss Omelet.

Time for more lobster.

Take the family and learn about Maine’s fishing and lobstering heritage at the Children’s Museum of Maine in Portland.
