The white sands of Wells Beach extend from just beyond Moody Point in the south to Wells Harbor and the mouth of the Webhannet River in the north. You can swim, sunbathe and stroll along the nearly three miles of continuous oceanfront, bordered by sand dunes and sea grass. Lifeguards are on duty throughout the summer. Near the southern end of the beach (Crescent Beach), you'll find a gravel parking lot and stairway access to the sand. Restrooms, snack bars, gift shops and an arcade are located at the village of Wells Beach near the beach’s midpoint, where you can also relax at an overlook that has benches. You'll find parking for a fee at the northern end of the beach. Just west of the village crossroads, you'll find parking for a fee and restrooms. You can also take the Amtrak Downeaster to the Wells stop, which is about two miles from the beach.
