Known as the tomato capital of New England, Madison is home to the 42-acre Backyard Farms, which has produced more than 40 million pounds of tomatoes since 2007. From June to September, you can shop for tomatoes and other produce at the town's farmers' market. In the summer, you can attend Madison-Anson Days, a four-day event that celebrates the area's history with a parade, craft show, barbecue, 5K road race, cooking contest, fishing derby and local entertainment. You can also play golf at the Lakewood Golf Course or see a show at The Lakewood Summer Theater.
